New York Jets linebacker Lorenzo Mauldin was taken to a local hospital Sunday after a scary hit during the fourth quarter of his team's 31-10 win over Cleveland.

Mauldin was caught at the bottom of a pile in pursuit of a Johnny Manziel fumble. He tried getting to his feet but fell down face-first after just a few seconds, leading the Jets medical staff to rush onto the field.

The third-round pick out of Louisville was placed on a spinal board and carted off as concerned teammates looked on.
