Winnipeg, MB (SportsNetwork.com) - The Winnipeg Jets will have defenseman Jacob Trouba back in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Trouba has been out since Dec. 13 with an upper body injury, having missed the team's last 16 games. The 2012 first-round pick had recorded four goals and eight assists over 31 outings prior to being sidelined.

Forward Mathieu Perreault, still dealing with an arm injury caused by an illegal check from Chicago's Daniel Carcillo in Friday's game against the Blackhawks, was placed on injured reserve to clear a spot for Trouba being removed from IR.

Perreault will sit out his second straight game on Wednesday. Carcillo was handed a six-game suspension from the NHL on Monday for the incident.
