Denzel Bowles scored 23 points and had 14 rebounds to lead James Madison to a 68-54 victory over Drexel on Wednesday night.

Anthony Hitchens added 14 points to help the Dukes (18-8, 8-6 Colonial Athletic Association) rally to win for the first time in three games.

Drexel (16-8, 8-6) led 25-9 with 8:51 left in the first half, but James Madison outscored the Dragons 20-7 to pull within 32-29 at halftime.

Bowles, who was averaging 18.1 points and 9.1 rebounds entering the game, hit a jumper to give the Dukes their first lead at 38-26 with 16:43 to play. His dunk extended James Madison's lead to 51-44 with 10:41 to play.

Devon Moore added 12 points for James Madison, which swept the season series from the Dragons, who were 1 for 12 on 3-point attempts (8.3 percent).

Samme Givens led Drexel with 22 points and 11 rebounds and Dartaye Ruffin added 10 points.
