The New York Islanders will play a pre-season NHL exhibition game against the Ottawa Senators in Barrie, Ontario on Sept. 29.

"The New York Islanders are excited about the opportunity to host a game in Barrie, one of Canada's true hockey communities," Islanders general manager Garth Snow said. "The Ontario Hockey League develops young prospects while giving them a chance to play in front of passionate fans like the ones in Barrie, supporting the Colts. We have several players who came through the OHL and are now key members of our core group, such as John Tavares, Josh Bailey, Matt Martin and Casey Cizikas. I look forward to seeing a sold out Barrie Molson Centre for our game against the Ottawa Senators."

The Barrie Molson Centre is home to the Barrie Colts of the Ontario Hockey League.

"We decided to bring this game to Barrie to give all of our fans the chance to see an NHL game in our own rink. We're very excited to be a part of such a terrific event and I'm sure the entire community will come out in full force to see some of the brightest stars in the NHL," said Howie Campbell, president of the Colts.
