Milan, Italy – Inter Milan forward Diego Forlan has suffered strained right hip flexor, and will be sidelined for an unknown period.
The Uruguayan international joined Inter from Atletico Madrid last summer, but the 32-year-old has made just nine appearances and scored one goal in Serie A. He was sidelined with a left thigh injury earlier this season.
Forlan could be sidelined as long as a month. Inter opens the Champions League knockout stage against Marseille on Feb. 22, and hosts the return leg March 13 at the San Siro.
