Houston RB Foster out of camp with calf strain; getting better and should be back soon
HOUSTON – Houston running back Arian Foster is still recovering from a right calf strain, but says he feels good and shouldn't be out of camp much longer.
Foster ran for 1,424 yards and 15 touchdowns last year for his third straight 1,200-yard rushing season.
The Texans placing him on the physically unable to perform list the night before the start of training camp was somewhat of a surprise. The team says he'll be out for a few days before working him back into a routine.
Foster says he has some "light soreness" and that there's no reason to push himself too hard this early in camp.
Foster spent the offseason using a different training regimen in an attempt to try and "reinvent" himself. He also found a new hobby when he landed a part in a movie.
