Sam Hornish Jr. will start on the pole for Saturday's Zippo 200 Nationwide Series race after setting a new track qualifying record at Watkins Glen International.

Hornish made a lap around this 2.45-mile road course at 123.291 mph, which topped the previous record of 123.241 mph, set by Kurt Busch in 2011. Hornish claimed his second pole of the season and the third of his Nationwide career. His maiden pole in the series came at Watkins Glen one year ago.

Kyle Busch secured the outside pole with a lap at 122.778 mph. Joey Logano, who is Hornish's teammate at Penske Racing, qualified third, followed by Regan Smith and Brad Keselowski, who won last weekend's race at Iowa.

Points leader Austin Dillon will start 14th. Dillon currently holds a 14-point advantage over Smith and Hornish.
