Atlanta, GA (SportsNetwork.com) - Atlanta Hawks forward Thabo Sefolosha could miss up to eight weeks with a right calf strain, the team said before Saturday's game against Philadelphia.

Sefolosha was hurt in the opening minutes of Friday's win over Portland. He started in place of DeMarre Carroll, who is out with a left Achilles strain.

The Hawks said Sefolosha's injury was confirmed by an MRI and examination on Friday at the Peachtree Orthopaedic Clinic.

He is averaging 5.1 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists for the NBA-leading Hawks.
