Pittsburgh Steelers tight end David Johnson is looking forward to his first game in nearly 13 months on Saturday night against Kansas City.

Johnson sat out the entire 2012 season after injuring his right knee last August. Johnson's rehabilitation hit a bump in the road when he had a second procedure to remove scar tissue in the joint at the start of training camp.

Pittsburgh removed Johnson off the Physically Unable to Perform list on Wednesday and barring a late setback, Johnson could get extensive playing time.

The Steelers are thin at tight end at the moment. Pro Bowler Heath Miller is on the PUP list with a knee injury while Matt Spaeth is out at least two months with a torn ligament in his left foot.
