New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - South Carolina remained the top-ranked team in the latest Associated Press women's college basketball poll.

The Gamecocks beat Missouri last week in their only game to stay unbeaten. They are the No. 1 team for a ninth straight week, garnering 27 first-place votes and a total of 867 points from a nationwide media panel.

Connecticut, Baylor and Louisville all held their positions from second through fourth. The Huskies picked up eight first-place votes, one more than last week.

Tennessee, Notre Dame, Maryland, Texas, Oregon State and Texas A&M complete this week's top 10. Texas dropped four spots from fourth after a loss at Oklahoma.

The second 10 consists of Stanford, North Carolina, Arizona State, Kentucky, Duke, Nebraska, Florida State, Mississippi State, Princeton and Iowa. Kentucky dipped four places from 10th after a loss at LSU, while Florida State moved up three spots from 20th for the biggest jump within the poll. The Seminoles just entered the rankings last week.

Minnesota, Georgia, Syracuse, Western Kentucky and Rutgers are the last five teams ranked. Western Kentucky returned to the poll after falling out last week.

Oklahoma State dropped out of this week's poll after being ranked 21st last week.
