London, England – Fulham signed free agent midfielder Mahamadou Diarra on Monday, inking the former Real Madrid man to a contract through the remainder of the season.
The 30-year-old Diarra will have the option of extending his stay at Craven Cottage by a further year after being without a club since leaving Monaco last summer.
Diarra won four straight Ligue 1 titles with Lyon before moving to Real Madrid in 2006, while he has also appeared in over 60 matches on the international level with Mali.
