Pittsburgh, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - Coming off back-to-back shutouts, Marc- Andre Fleury provided another solid performance as he made 23 saves in the Pittsburgh Penguins' 4-1 win over the Detroit Red Wings on Wednesday.

Blake Comeau and Patric Hornqvist each tallied a goal and an assist and David Perron and Nick Spaling also scored for the Penguins, who bounced back from a 5-0 drubbing from Vancouver with backup Thomas Greiss in net.

Stephen Weiss scored in the second period to end Fleury's shutout streak at a career-high 1:65:06.

Petr Mrazek allowed all four goals on 17 shots and Jimmy Howard returned from a groin injury and stopped all four shots he faced in his first action since Jan. 10.

"They were good and we were bad," Red Wings head coach Mike Babcock said. "They competed and we stood around."

Detroit entered the game with three straight wins and were victorious in nine of its previous 10 games.

The Penguins wasted no time getting on the board as Kris Letang's slap shot was partially blocked up high in the zone, but the puck skipped off the end boards straight to Hornqvist, who wristed it in from the side of the net just 1:51 into the game.

Hornqvist took a failed Red Wings reverse behind the net and slipped a pass to toward the slot, where Comeau blasted the feed past Mrazek for a 2-0 lead with 7:45 left in the first period.

"I was just in the right spot," said Comeau, who returned to the ice for the first time since suffering an upper-body injury on Dec. 22 . "I got back in the game and got the nerves out of me."

Perron increased the Penguins' lead 3:04 into the second as he wristed the rebound from Maxim Lapierre's shot into the net and Spaling redirected Rob Scuderi's shot at 7:52 for a 4-0 lead.

Weiss ended Fleury's bid for a third straight whitewash by tipping Henrik Zetterberg's shot in the crease on the power play with 6:34 left in the second.

Fleury stopped nine shots over the final 20 minutes to preserve the win.
