Calgary, AB (SportsNetwork.com) - The Calgary Flames activated forward Matt Stajan from injured reserve on Thursday.
Stajan has missed the Flames' last eight games with a deep leg contusion that he suffered in the season opener, a 5-4 loss at Washington.
The 29-year old has scored 109 goals and 311 points over an 11-year career with Calgary and Toronto.
Forward Roman Horak was reassigned to the Abbotsford Heat in order to make room on the roster.
