JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) - Netherlands and Japan advanced to the second round of the World Cup finals on Thursday as Denmark and Cameroon made their exits.
Netherlands, who beat Cameroon 2-1 in Cape Town, finished top of Group E and will play Slovakia in the second round on Monday in Durban.
Japan, who beat Denmark 3-1 in Rustenburg, came second and will play Paraguay on Tuesday in Pretoria.
Denmark and Cameroon were eliminated.
