Milan, Italy (SportsNetwork.com) - Striker Mattia Destro has completed a move from Roma to AC Milan on loan on Friday, with Milan having the option to make the switch permanent.

Destro has been linked with a move away from the Italian capital after struggling to find a consistent place in the Roma side this season, yet he has produced when on the field, scoring five goals in eight Serie A fixtures.

The 23-year-old began his professional career with Genoa before moving to Siena after one season.

Destro arrived at Roma in 2012 and has made over 50 appearances for the club, while he also has earned eight caps for the Italian national team after making his debut in 2012.
