The Washington Redskins and tight end Fred Davis have agreed to a contract.

Terms were not disclosed, but the Washington Post on Friday had reported it to be a one-year deal.

An unrestricted free agent, Davis visited the Buffalo Bills earlier this week.

Davis played the 2012 season under a franchise tag and had his year cut short in October due to an Achilles injury. He was hurt in a Week 7 game against the New York Giants and missed the remainder of the season.

The 27-year-old USC product was the Redskins' leading receiver at the time of his injury and finished his fifth season with 24 catches for 325 yards.

Davis has 155 receptions for 1,973 yards with 12 touchdowns in 62 games -- all with the Redskins.
