Dana White: 'We're working on' Anderson Silva vs. Vitor Belfort 2

Anderson Silva and Vitor Belfort may be headed for a rematch in 2016 after their first fight ended with one of the most memorable knockouts in UFC history.

According to UFC president Dana White via the Joe Rogan podcast, the UFC is currently in discussions to make Silva vs. Belfort 2 next year.

"I don't disagree," White responded when Rogan suggested Silva facing Belfort next. "We're working on it. I think Vitor is (into it)."

White didn't confirm any other news about the potential fight coming together, but the promotion has already confirmed that UFC 197 will be headed to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on March 5 and a rematch between Silva and Belfort could be a huge draw for the show.

Belfort is fresh off a first-round knockout over Dan Henderson just a couple of weeks ago, and there's little doubt he would like the chance to avenge his earlier loss to Silva from 2011.

The two fighters met at UFC 126 with the middleweight title on the line. Silva won by knockout after landing a front kick directly to Belfort's face in the first round.

Silva is currently on suspension after testing positive for banned substances following his fight earlier this year against Nick Diaz. Silva would be eligible to return to action after January 30, 2016.

Belfort and Silva are two of the most popular and well known fighters from Brazil and their rematch would do huge business in the South American country.
