The Dallas Cowboys and cornerback Orlando year contract extension on Wednesday.

The pact, which lasts for five years, is worth approximately $27 million with $10 million guaranteed.

Scandrick racked up 46 tackles, 2 1/2 sacks and one interception in 16 games last season for the Cowboys, his third in the NFL.

Dallas plucked the 24-year-old Los Angeles native in the fifth round of the 2008 draft out of Boise State.

Over 48 games (nine starts) in three seasons with the Cowboys, Scandrick has posted 133 tackles, five sacks and two interceptions -- one returned for a score.
