Troy Polamalu believes he knows what's wrong with the Pittsburgh Steelers defense. And it has nothing to do with Hall of Fame coordinator Dick LeBeau.

Polamalu says the players are being put in the right positions to make plays, they're just not making them. The Steelers enter Sunday's game against Buffalo at 2-6 after surrendering 55 points and 610 yards in a loss last week to New England.

Safety Ryan Clark says the Steelers don't have to defend LeBeau and that his resume speaks for itself. Pittsburgh has finished No. 1 in the NFL in total defense five times in the last decade. The Steelers are 12th heading into Sunday's game against Buffalo (3-6), a spot Clark says other teams would love to be in.
