Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (SportsNetwork.com) - Brasileiro leaders Cruzeiro were held to a point on Sunday as Robert Kennedy struck a late equalizer for Fluminense and the sides played to a 3-3 stalemate at the Maracana.
Cruzeiro has been rolling most of the season, entering Sunday's tilt riding a four-match winning streak and they took the lead after 13 minutes through a penalty kick from Julio Baptista.
Fluminense roared back to take a 2-1 lead after 23 minutes through goals from Wagner and Cicero, but Baptista hit for his second of the match on the stroke of halftime and Marcelo Moreno gave Cruzeiro the lead in the 58th minute.
The league leaders, however, were unable to hold the lead as Kennedy blasted home the equalizing goal two minutes from time to hold the defending champions to a point, snapping their winning streak in the process.
Also in Brazil on Sunday, Leo Silva netted the winning goal 20 minutes from time to lift Atletico Mineiro to a 1-0 win over Botafogo, while Sao Paulo claimed a 2-0 win against Sport Recife.
Dellatorre and Henrique traded goals as Atletico PR and Palmeiras played to a 1-1 stalemate, while Figueirense hit for three unanswered second-half goals to claim a 3-2 win over Internacional.
Criciuma and Corinthians played to a scoreless draw on Sunday, as did Bahia and Coritiba.
Saturday's action saw David Braz score a pair of goals to go with a third tally from Leandro Damiao, helping Santos coast to a 3-1 result over Vitoria.
Also on Saturday, Luan scored at the death to hand Gremio a 1-0 win over Flamengo, while Chapecoense and Goias played to a scoreless draw.
