Columbus, OH – The Columbus Crew have signed Chile midfielder year contract, pending receipt of his P-1 work visa.
Mirosevic, 31, has played 25 matches for Chile, most recently appearing in a pair of 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Uruguay and Paraguay.
He joins Columbus from Chilean first division side Universidad Catolica, where he served as captain and had 46 goals in 108 games over the last three years, which was his second stint with the storied club.
"Milo brings a lot of quality and experience," said Crew boss Robert Warzycha. "He has represented his country, captained his club, been a top scorer in the Chilean league and played in important matches.
"He is a good passer, very technical, has good speed and can shoot from distance. We are very happy to be able to incorporate him into our attack."
Mirosevic started his career at Catolica, where he appeared in 108 matches and scored 25 goals from 1997-2002. In 2003, he joining Racing of Argentina, where he spent the next three seasons, appearing in 91 matches and scoring 11 goals.
After stints at Beitar Jerusalem of Israel (2006-07) and Argentinos Juniors of Argentina (2008), he returned to Catolica and led the team to four titles. He led the league in scoring in 2010 with 19 goals.
Per club and league policy, no further terms of the deal were disclosed.
