Valencia, Spain – Valencia midfielder Sergio Canales could be 1 draw with Athletic Bilbao on Sunday.
The 20-year-old joined Valencia on a two-year loan from Real Madrid over the summer and he has scored one goal in eight La Liga appearances this season for Los Che.
It has yet to be determined if Canales will require surgery, but if an operation is necessary, it will likely cost him the majority of the season.
Valencia is fifth in La Liga with 15 points from eight games.
