TOKYO – Tokyo Olympic organizers have added camera manufacturer Canon Inc. to its list of domestic sponsors for the 2020 Games.
Canon has been designated as official still camera and desktop reprographic hardware provider for the event.
Tokyo organizers and Canon did not release financial terms of the deal.
Tokyo's domestic sponsorships are separate from the global TOP sponsorship program run by the International Olympic Committee. Japanese tire manufacturer Bridgestone and Panasonic are among worldwide sponsors.
Other domestic sponsors include Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corp. and Asahi Breweries Ltd.
