Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Matt Garza has been placed on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to April 2.

Garza exited a tune-up appearence Friday after experiencing tightness in his shoulder, and will miss his scheduled Wednesday start against the San Francisco Giants.

The veteran appeared in six games during spring training, posting a 4.50 ERA through 22 innings pitched.

The Brewers called up Tyler Cravy from the Triple-A Colorado Springs Sky Sox in response, while manager Craig Counsell announced that Taylor Jungmann will start Wednesday in Garza's place.
