Former NASCAR champion Bobby Isaac has been inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Isaac was the first of five inductees to be formally introduced during Saturday's ceremony at the Charlotte Convention Center. The ceremony had been scheduled for Friday night but was postponed because of a snowstorm pounding the East Coast.

Ryan Newman introduced the induction of Isaac, who died in 1977. Isaac's son, Rand, accepted the induction and his widow, Patsy, spoke.

Isaac was the 1970 champion who set his mark in qualifying, with 49 career poles. His 19 poles in 1969 remains the single-season record.
