Blues fire Payne, make Hitchcock new head coach

St. Louis, MO – The St. Louis Blues relieved Davis Payne as head coach and replaced him with Ken Hitchcock, the team announced Saturday night.

Hitchcock signed a contract through the 2012-13 season.

The Blues have a 6-7-0 record this season.
