Blackhawks get another Toews

Chicago, IL – The Chicago Blackhawks have acquired forward David Toews from the New York Islanders in exchange for future considerations.

The younger brother of Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews had 20 goals and 28 assists last season for the Brandon Wheat Kings of the WHL.

The 21-year-old was originally selected by the Islanders in the third round of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
