Buffalo Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, Cleveland Browns linebacker D'Qwell Jackson and Oakland Raiders kicker Sebastian Janikowski have been named the AFC's top players for the month of September.

Fitzpatrick has led the AFC East-leading Bills to a 3-0 start, highlighted by last week's 34-31 comeback win against the New England Patriots. He has completed 64.9 percent (72-of-111) of his passes for 841 yards and nine touchdowns, with three interceptions.

Fitzpatrick, who earned his first career monthly award, tied a career high with four TD throws during Buffalo's Week 1 win against Kansas City.

Jackson has registered 30 tackles through the first three games, helping the Browns to a 2-1 mark. He posted 11 tackles, one forced fumble and a career- high two sacks during a Week 1 loss to Cincinnati.

Janikowski made 5-of-6 field goal attempts during September, including an NFL record-tying 63-yard kick during Oakland's season-opening win against Denver. He also made attempts of 54 and 49 yards during a Week 3 victory over the Jets.
