Arsenal and Manchester City enjoyed 4-0 wins in the English Premier League on Saturday to consolidate their places in the Champions League qualification places.

Alexis Sanchez and Alex Iwobi assisted each other for first-half goals to set Arsenal on its way to a victory against Watford that cemented third place. Hector Bellerin and Theo Walcott grabbed the other goals.

City was also a comfortable winner at Bournemouth, with Kevin De Bruyne scoring on his return to the team after a two-month injury lay-off and Sergio Aguero heading in his 22nd goal of the season. City was 3-0 up after 19 minutes.

Fourth-place City moved three points ahead of West Ham, which drew 2-2 with Crystal Palace after conceding a 75th-minute equalizer soon after going down to 10 men following Cheikhou Kouyate's sending-off.

At the bottom, Newcastle is six points adrift of safety after conceding an injury-time goal to lose 3-2 at relegation rival Norwich.

Chelsea thrashed last-place Aston Villa 4-0, with Alexandre Pato scoring on his debut after coming on as a substitute, while Swansea came from two goals down to draw 2-2 at Stoke and Sunderland drew 0-0 with West Bromwich Albion.

Second-place Tottenham visits Liverpool in the late game, needing a win to keep the pressure on leader Leicester.
