As President Obama heads to Gov. Rick Perry's home state of Texas to sell his stimulus plan, the GOP presidential candidate released a web video questioning Obama's record on job creation.

The video highlights the number of jobs created by the Obama recovery plan and lays out what the Perry campaign calls "a quick lesson for President Barack Obama on the four core principles for creating jobs." It lists cutting spending, lowering taxes, reforming regulations and cutting frivolous law suits as keys to job creation.

Perry is hoping to turn the attention away from illegal immigration, an issue that the Romney campaign has been highlighting ahead of the president's trip to Texas. Perry has been taking heat from some conservatives on his support of in-state tuition for illegals.

The campaign says Perry will not visit with the president today in Texas. Instead he will be fundraising at a winery in Califorina.
