"Late Night" host Stephen Colbert pointed out voter concerns over President Biden's age on Monday as he joked the president is "way too f---ing old" to be re-elected.

Colbert joked that what matters is that Biden is "young at heart."

"Big news out of the White House, almost forgot. Last week, President Biden officially announced that he will seek a second term. Of course, we know Biden’s real opponent is the ravages of time. If he wins a second term, he will be 86 when he leaves office. And voters feel that is, to put it delicately: way too f------ old. According to a new poll, 70% of Americans believe Biden should not run for re-election, and half of those polled cite his age as a major reason. But what matters is that Biden is young at heart. That’s right," he said during his show monologue.

Colbert joked that "it's all of his other organs that we have to worry about."

The president addressed concerns about his age during his remarks at the White House Correspondents' Dinner and told ABC News in February that the concerns were "totally legitimate."

"But it’s legitimate for people to raise issues about my age. It’s totally legitimate to do that. And the only thing I can say is watch me," he said.

During an appearance in front of reporters on Wednesday, Biden said, "with regard to age, I can't even say – I guess, how old I am – I can't even say the number. It doesn't register with me."

"But Joe’s got hope, baby, because in that same poll, 88% of democratic voters say they’d definitely or probably still vote for Biden if he’s the nominee. Yeah! Definitely or probably. So, nobody wants him, but they’ll take him if he’s their only option. He’s a political position known as the 'oatmeal raisin cookie,'" Colbert joked.

Colbert also put on a pair of Rayban sunglasses similar to those Biden is frequently seen wearing, and imitated the president.

"Listen, Jack, listen," he said, referring to Biden's comments at the Wednesday press conference. "If you’re worried about my age, you’ll be pleased to know that I have trouble identifying and calculating basic numbers."

An NBC News poll from late April found that 70% of Americans, including 51% of Democrats, do not think Biden should run for reelection, with 26% supporting the president.
