Gisele Bündchen has been making headlines recently for all sorts of reasons – for asking for her family to pray for her husband, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, then for launching into a profanity-laced tirade after her hubby’s team lost the Super Bowl.

Bündchen is back in the news. But now the reason she’s making headlines is what made her so rich and powerful in the first place: the runway.

The world’s richest supermodel returned to the catwalk this weekend for New York Fashion Week – shedding the negative publicity that has surrounded her recently to take part in Alexander Wang’s slick, glossy fall collection.

Gisele, From Victoria's Secret to NFL Wife

Wang assembled a most impressive group of top models for a test spin of his newest looks boasting leather, shine and chiffon in black, oxblood red and an optic white he called "peroxide."

Bündchen, a former Victoria’s Secret model, took a break from the runways once she became a mom two years ago. But the Brazilian stunner returned for Wang, who rolled out a grand stage with a complicated layout of mirrors and narrow to big-name models like Shalom Harlow and Karolina Kurkove.

Bündchen, who is the world's first billionaire supermodel, wore military-inspired trenchcoats. Wang’s collection also included wool sweaters and tweed jackets — waxed and with vinyl visors for effect.

Wang came out with his usual bouncy step and big smile for his bow.

In his notes, he said, "Big hugs to my family and everyone else who has made this dream come true."
