Build-A-Bear Recalling Nearly 300,000 'Colorful Hearts' Teddy Bears

The popular toy manufacturer Build-A-Bear has issued a recall for nearly 300,000 bears that could be a choking hazard to children, reported.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Build-A-Bear recalled the "Colorful Hearts Teddy" just days before Christmas.

On the Build-A-Bear website, it explains that certain production runs of the bear used substandard fabric which can tear around the eye, possibly resulting in the eye falling out, leading to a potential choking hazard.

The bear was sold between April and December of 2011 with more than 284,000 purchased in the United States and 13,200 in Canada.

Consumers can return the bear to any Build-A-Bear store and receive a coupon for any available stuffed animal of your choice.
