The cocktail is representative of pre Prohibition cocktails and the fact that honey and lemon were used as a cover up for the sometimes unpleasant taste of home made gin. This cocktail was very well suited for the exquisite palate of the day.

Ingredients:

Gin

Honey

Lemon juice

Preparation:

2 ounces of gin, ¾ ounce lemon juice, ¾ honey syrup. Shake with ice and strain into martini glass, serve with a lemon twist.
