The sassy joke was referring to President Trump’s strange typo in a Tweet he sent out early Tuesday morning, praising himself for purchasing “over 1000 hamberders” for the Clemson University football team, who were being honored for winning the National Championship against the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Though the tweet has since been corrected to say “hamburger,” Burger King, which was allegedly one of the fast-food restaurants Trump purchased food from for the dinner, was quick to hop on the original “hamberder” tweet.
Since posting the joke, the Burger King tweet has been both applauded and criticized for the move.
Though there were a few that did not approve of the sarcastic response.
According to Trump’s tweet, however, the Clemson Tiger players seemed to have enjoyed the fast-food meal. It was reportedly all eaten “within one hour.”
