Several 'Game of Thrones' fans complained they had to re-watch parts of the Battle of Winterfell because of dark cinematography.

"Game of Thrones" fans had their own Arya Stark-style "kill lists" ready ahead of Sunday night's thrilling episode.

The battle of Winterfell in Season 8, Episode 3, was sure to be a bloody one as Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen's armies took on the White Walkers and the notorious Night King. Unlike past seasons, this time fans were prepared for some of their favorite characters to die.

But many were surprised to discover there weren't as many deaths of protagonists as they thought there would be — and some even claimed it was a "little too easy."

"I wanted 13 characters to survive season 8. The Battle of Winterfell killed 2 of those and the status of 2 more is still unknown. Not as deadly as expected but damn, those 2 deaths were painful. #GameofThrones #BattleofWinterfell," one Twitter user wrote after watching the gruesome episode.

"I’m not really satisfied with that Game of Thrones episode.. I think my expectations were too high ..I expected a lot more death," another wrote, in part.

"The episode was one of the coolest in the entire series. I just am disappointed we’re done with the Night King now without a little more. It seems to easy for Game of Thrones. Was also looking for more big name deaths but there’s still 3 episodes #GoT," a third added.

There are three episodes left in the fantasy series based on the George R.R. Martin novels, which has been one of HBO's most successful series. And the fight for the Seven Kingdoms is far from over.

“[Expect] a lot of tears,” Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark, previously told IGN.

“I think, you know, as an actor it was really satisfying — I think for everyone, everyone’s storylines — to be able to act out the way that it all ends. It was really satisfying for us," said Turner, though she admitted not everyone may be pleased by the way writers wrapped up the series. “I think a lot of fans will be disappointed and a lot of fans will be over the moon, I think."
