Jennifer Lopez kicks off Las Vegas residency
After months of preparations and teasing, J.Lo finally kicked off her new headlining Las Vegas show at The AXIS at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on Wednesday night.
Kelly Clarkson, the very first American Idol winner, brought Jennifer Lopez to tears as she sang “Piece by Piece” Thursday night in the show’s final season.
Clarkson, who is pregnant with her second child, cried herself during certain parts of the song, turning away from the microphone when she was too overcome with emotion.
Lopez, who is a judge on the show, had tears streaming down her face during Clarkson’s performance, which she has said was inspired by the wonderful father her husband, Brandon Blackstock, has been to their daughter, River Rose.
Clarkson has said in past interviews that Blackstock was the first boyfriend to whom she ever said “I love you.”
Idol judge Keith Urban also cried during Clarkson’s show.
Clarkson said on the show: "I'm pregnant, and it's nostalgic and I can't believe it's the last season. Yeah, really sorry I just bawled."
Clarkson reportedly is expecting a boy.
