Fox News Channel's Bret Baier will debut a new podcast on Tuesday that examines the 2020 presidential field with in-depth analysis and compelling conversations about the growing field of White House hopefuls.
“The Candidates with Bret Baier,” the latest addition to the Fox News Podcast Network, will feature a rotating panel of experts discussing the reasons why each presidential contender entered the race. Each week, the 'Special Report' host and his guests will chat about motivation, campaign strategy and each candidate’s potential path to victory.
Last month, Baier signed a new multi-year deal to remain the anchor and executive editor “Special Report” and the network’s chief political anchor.
“Bret continues to be the gold standard not only across FNC, but the entire news industry, and his reporting has played an integral role in the success and growth of the network,” Fox News president Jay Wallace said at the time.
“Baier brings unparalleled journalistic expertise and political knowledge that our viewers continue to tune in for and we are proud that he will be with us for many years to come,” Wallace added.
Last week, Baier, along with Martha MacCallum, co-anchored Fox News’ coverage of President Trump’s State of the Union address. The coverage averaged 11.3 million viewers to make FNC the highest-rated network in all of television while topping CNN and MSNBC combined.
Back in 2016 Baier developed “The Presidential Contenders: 2016,” a series that profiled 19 prospective candidates. He will continue to explore presidential politics as he dives into the podcast medium.
The Fox News Podcast Network also features a variety of options, such as “The Untold Story with Martha MacCallum,” “Tyrus & Timpf,” “I’ll Tell You What” with Dana Perino and Chris Stirewalt, “Livin’ the Bream,” “The Media BuzzMeter,” “Hemmer Time” and “The Gerri Willis Podcast.” Several Fox News Radio shows are also available to download on demand, including “The Brian Kilmeade Show,” “The Todd Starnes Show” and “Benson & Harf.”
New episodes of “The Candidates with Bret Baier” will become available for download every Tuesday, starting on Feb. 12.
