Sofia Vergara caused a furor on Monday when she stepped out in Los Angeles sporting a huge ring on that finger, prompting speculation about whether or not Hollywood’s hottest couple were engaged.
While the “Modern Family” actress and her new love, Joe Manganiello, have been near-inseparable since they started seeing each other earlier this summer – so it isn't inconceivable that she might have pulled a page out of Naya Rivera’s book and surprised everyone with a sudden marriage. However, wedding bells are not ringing for Vergara and Manganiello.
It looks like the piece of jewelry in question comes from Vergara’s new So Sofia line at Kay Jewelers. Upon closer inspection, the 42-year-old Colombian was also wearing a matching necklace, so she was serving as her own billboard.
The ring would appear to be the amethyst and diamond ring from her collection, which is priced at $1,179, while the matching necklace features a larger amethyst surrounded by diamonds on a rose gold chain.
In addition to her eye-catching ring, the actress was dressed casually in jeans and a white top for her outing on Monday.
Vergara and Manganiello first began dating in July – soon after she broke off a long engagement with businessman Nick Loeb. They have been spotted in Los Angeles, New Orleans and Miami – including at a Justin Timerblake concert in L.A. last week.
Onlookers said they were kissing and cuddling and could not keep their hands off each other, according to E! News.
