411 Playlist: 'X Factor' judge makes a mistake, Bon Jovi's new restaurant

America's favorite heel, Simon Cowell, admits that he made a mistake on the singing competition show "The X-Factor" and leads off this week's 411 Playlist.

Out of 32 hopefuls, only 17 are moving on to the "Live Shows" of the hit program. One of those lucky few, Melanie Amaro, saw her dream slip away after being eliminated only to come right back. Judge Simon Cowell had a change of heart after the singer's farewell and flew to Florida to apologize and re-recruit the 18-year-old singer. Amaro along with her 17 other competitors head to Los Angeles to sing live in front of the judges and America.

Still, as charitable as Simon was, rocker Jon Bon Jovi is not to be outdone. The "Livin' on a Prayer" singer opened a very unique restaurant in New Jersey. If you're looking to dine at the new Soul Kitchen, you can leave your wallet at home because the menu is filled with meals but no prices. Diners have the option to pay what they can afford, work at the restaurant or perform community service in exchange for a meal. The effort made by the musician is to help feed the hungry without the brand of "soup kitchen."

Teen sensation Justin Bieber is also getting into the spirit of giving right in time for the holidays. The teen star is preparing a Christmas album called "Under the Mistletoe" where part of the proceeds will go to various charities including "Pencils of Promise" and "Make-a-Wish Foundation."

As Bieber is readying to release a new album, an older album is helping 30 Seconds to Mars set world records. The band's tour in promotion of "This is War" will land them in the Guinness Book of World Records on December 7th when they perform their 300th show. This magic number will be the most shows performed during a single album cycle.

Another band that's making history is Bush. According to Mediabase, the band's hit single "The Sound Of Winter" from their "Sea of Memories" album is the first self-released song to hit number one at Alternative Radio. This single is the first number one on Billboard's Alternative Songs chart since 1999.
