Selena Gomez is reportedly getting some professional assistance to help with her mental health as she is on break from the Hollywood spotlight.

According to Us Weekly, the 24-year-old singer has been recovering at a Tennessee treatment center since she announced in late August that she was taking an infinite break to deal with anxiety, panic attacks and depression stemming from her ongoing battle with lupus.

“She can go to a very dark place,” a source told the magazine, adding that the unnamed center is located just outside Nashville. The insider described it as a “private and quiet place.”

Fox News Latino reached out to Gomez’s rep for confirmation and is waiting to hear back.

If true, this is the second rehab stint for the former Disney Channel star. Gomez went to the Meadows recovery center in Arizona for two weeks in 2014.

At the time, her rep did not disclose any specific reason for her rehab stint, but did say it had nothing to do with substance abuse. However, in an interview with Billboard last fall, Gomez confirmed that she had been diagnosed with lupus and had undergone chemotherapy as part of her treatment.

Since her announcement in August, Gomez has maintained a low profile. She was spotted having an afternoon meal and mingling with fans at the Texas Roadhouse in Alcoa, Tennessee on Saturday.

“She enjoyed herself and was there for a late lunch,” an eyewitness told E! News. “She couldn’t have been more gracious to everyone and to the fans and was more than happy to take pictures with whoever.”
