Two Gonzaga University students are facing possible expulsion for flashing a handgun to ward off an intruder.
Erik Fagan and Dan McIntosh were at their university-owned apartment when a homeless man knocked on their door demanding money. Fagan offered the man a blanket and a can of food but refused to hand over any cash, he said. The man became combative and tried to force his way inside.
Fagan shouted for McIntosh, who came downstairs holding a loaded 10 mm Glock pistol and scared the man away.
The suspect was later arrested and identified as a wanted felon. But university policy forbids students from possessing firearms on school property.
Now, in their first national TV interview, Fagan and McIntosh are speaking out.
