"The Crown" has a new matriarch.

The hit Netflix series released a teaser image of actress Olivia Colman starring as Queen Elizabeth II via its Twitter account on Monday. The post received more than 4,500 retweets and 19,000 likes.

The 44-year-old is playing the royal in seasons three and four of the show, the first of which will air next year, Variety reported.

Colman previously praised actress Claire Foy, who played a younger version of the queen in the series' first and second seasons, as a "genius."

"I was utterly gripped watching it," Colman said in a statement. "A proper 'just one more' feeling. I think Claire Foy is an absolute genius. She's an incredibly hard act to follow. I'm basically going to rewatch every episode and copy her!"

Colman's not the only new face added to the cast: actor Tobias Menzies, who played Edmure Tully on HBO's "Game of Thrones," will star as Elizabeth II's spouse, Prince Philip.

"Doctor Who" star Matt Smith, 35, had played a younger Prince Philip in seasons one and two.
