Actress Natalie Portman is engaged and expecting her first child, FoxNews.com confirms.

The 29-year-old star met fiancee Benjamin Millepied on the set of Black Swan, Portman's publicist Tamar Cohen confirmed to FoxNews.com on Monday.

Portman has earned Screen Actors Guild and Golden Globe nominations for the role and is a front-runner for an Oscar nod.

Millepied is a principal dancer with the New York City Ballet.

This will be the first child for the actress who is due in 2011.

People Magazine first reported the news on Monday.
