Mariah Carey’s brother blasted the singer on Inside Edition just days after their sister, Alison, 55, was arrested in Saugerties, New York.

In an exclusive interview with the former model and music producer now living in Italy, Morgan Carey, 51, told Inside Edition that “Mariah doesn’t care about anyone other than herself and it’s always been that way.”

On Wednesday, Alison Carey pleaded not guilty to solicitation charges, and left the Ulster County Jail after making her $1,000 bail, the Daily News reports.

Alison Carey was arrested Friday August 26th at a Howard Johnson hotel after attempting to solicit money in exchange for sex from an undercover police officer, authorities said. The officer had responded to an ad Carey posted with two photos and an offer of “sweet, sweet fantasy baby” – a reference to her famous sister’s 1995 hit “Fantasy.”

It’s been reported that Carey’s sister is HIV-positive and has struggled for several years with drug addiction.

“There could be cause for concern for people who had sexual encounters with Carey, particularly if it was unprotected, and urged those individuals to contact their doctors,” Police Chief Joseph Sinagra of the Saugerties Police department told the Daily Freeman.

Morgan Carey says he and his famous sister were once close, but the two haven’t spoken in several years. He claims even though he helped launch Mariah Carey’s now award-winning career, she has done little to help their desperate sister.

“She’s given a heroin addict money in the past. Let’s make sure Alison’s needs are met, but not in a way that she’s enabled so that she can go off and do damage to herself,” Morgan says

Mariah’s publicist, the Britto Agency, said in a statement that, "Through the years, Mariah has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars supporting Alison and her children.”

Morgan Carey claims that he lives in Italy to protect himself from his R&B diva sister and her fans.

“It's about protecting this fiction she has created, this image she has created, it's about keeping the darkest secrets covered up,” he said.
