Robert "Jason" Owens was arrested and charged with three counts of murder on Tuesday in the disappearance of JT Codd and his pregnant wife, Cristie Codd, FOX Carolina reports.

Cristie Codd, 36, was a competitor on season 8 of "Food Network Star" on the Food Network. JT, 45, worked as a key grip on Hollywood films.

A family member posted on Facebook that both Cristie and JT were scheduled to begin working on new movies on Sunday but neither made it to their destinations.

Owens, 36, was taken into custody in Buncombe County, NC. His home is about a half mile from the Codd's house, FOX Carolina reports.

Law enforcement told FOX Carolina that Owens was charged with two counts of first degree murder, one count of murder of an unborn child, breaking and entering, and larceny after breaking and entering.

The arrest warrant states Owens "unlawfully, willfully and feloniously did of malice afterthought kill and murder" Cristie and JT Codd and their unborn child on March 12.

“Our thoughts go out to Cristie’s family and friends during this difficult time,” said a Food Network told FOX411.

The Codds were reported missing on March 15, deputies said. Cristie Codd was five months pregnant, FOX Carolina reports.

Owens faces death or life in prison without parole for each of the charges. Owens requested a court-appointed attorney and a follow up court date was scheduled for April.
