Could Lindsay Lohan be headed for jail?

The “Mean Girls” actress has less than a week to complete the remainder of her community service hours or face possible criminal penalties which includes jail. She faces a hearing in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

An unidentified source told TMZ that the troubled starlet isn’t even close to her quota and will ask the court for mercy and more time citing medical problems related to a bout of a rare mosquito-borne virus.

She revealed on social media that she contracted the rare Chikungunya virus while holidaying in Bora Bora.

At Lohan’s last progress report in November she still had 138 hours to complete. The 28-year-old actress was sentenced with probation and 240 hours of community service after pleading no contest to reckless driving in a June 2012 car crash in Santa Monica, Calif.

Lohan will reportedly not be present at Wednesday’s hearing. The judge can grant at extension or revoke her probation pending a probation violation hearing.
