Jim Carrey is being sued for wrongful death by his ex-girlfriend’s mother, according to TMZ.
The site reports Cathriona White’s mom, Brigid Sweetman, filed a lawsuit claiming her daughter overdosed when she learned Carrey gave her three STDs and he dumped her.
The suit reportedly claims Carrey called White a “whore” and tried to silence her. The suit, filed in Los Angeles, also claims White learned in 2013 she contracted herpes and chlamydia.
Sweetman told The New York Post in a statement,“As a family, we want the world to know the truth about who Jim Carrey really is — a man that will give your daughter three STDs, lie about it, call her terrible names and demean her, use his high-priced lawyers to try and shut her and her family up, and then give her illegal drugs."
White 30 died at the age of 30 after she overdosed on prescription medications in September 2015.
Carrey did not immediately return FOX411’s request for comment.
