In the FOXlight: Why 'Laverne & Shirley' Star Cindy Williams Got Into Show Business

As half of one of the most popular twosomes in sitcom history, Cindy Williams is a bona fide comedy legend. But she didn't really have plans to end up that way.
"When I was a little girl, I put on plays with my sister in our garage," says Williams in an exclusive interview with FNC entertainment correspondent Michael Tammero. "I never thought of it as, 'This is going to be my career.' It was just sort of a natural progression because I wasn't academically inclined in school."
Probably less anticipated was her progression into an author, which came after the release of her recent memoir "Shirley, I Jest! A Storied Life."
In it, Williams recounts her upbringing, her early gigs in Hollywood, and even the behind-the-scenes drama on the set of "Laverne and Shirley" — if you can call it that.
"[There were] always creative differences, but never really creative differences," she tells Tammero. "We were always on the same page when we hit that stage."
