Heather Locklear is starting off 2019 as a single woman as she tries out a new approach to her ongoing rehab, according to reports.

The 57-year-old star, who has seen her share of trouble this past year, broke up with her longtime boyfriend, Chris Heisser, just after the New Year. People reports that the former “Melrose Place” star is focusing on her sobriety and mental health and believed that a relationship with the former flame was not conducive to that lifestyle.

In addition, the star was expected to return to her rehab facility after celebrating the holidays. However, multiple reports indicate that she’s decided to stay at home, but remains committed to outpatient treatment. The outlet reports that she’s living with her parents, father Bill, 89, and mother Diane, 85.

Representatives for Locklear did not immediately respond to Fox News' request for comment.

As previously reported, Locklear hit a breaking point in November after suffering an apparent mental breakdown.

“Yesterday, Heather was at her home with her therapist and lawyer and she simply had a mental breakdown. EMT’s were called to her home and it was a medical call, not a criminal call,” a source explained to Fox News at the time. “The call was simply a mental health precaution and Heather’s family and friends will continue to support her road to achieving a positive mental health state.”

Locklear has faced a series of arrests and hospitalizations in the past year. She was arrested in February after an alleged confrontation with her boyfriend, Chris Heisser. She then allegedly attacked officers who were responding to the incident, officials said at the time.

Locklear was also arrested in June when police responded to her home after receiving a disturbance call. Cops found the actress “heavily intoxicated” and “arguing with other subjects at the residence.”
